Where to park a bus

Our buses are 11.5metres (37feet) long, 2.4metres (8feet) wide, 4.8metres (15feet 6inches) high and weigh twelve tons. They need 21.5metres (70 feet) to turn around. There are few drives outside domestic houses that can handle a bus and invariably it is safer and easier for us to park in the road outside your house. We will park parallel to the kerb and occupy approx. three car lengths, although we need about five car lengths clear so we can turn in.

We place road signs and cones around the bus when parked to warn other road users. For most domestic properties this means that we will have to pull across neighbours’ drives and effectively block them for the duration of the party. A word from you first to warn your neighbours of our arrival is always advisable. We need a 13amp, normal domestic, electric supply. We bring all the extension leads that will connect your house to the bus. If you decide to party away from your home, such as a pub, restaurant or club car park please arrange with their management first.

We have full public liability insurance and all our equipment is PAT tested for safety. If you could ask for a space at least 60’ long and 10’ wide for us to park that is close to a building, so we can get an electric supply without trailing cables across a car park. If the manager would like to speak to us about any concerns they have then please forward our number, 07388082007 to them and we will happily answer any questions they may have. Please note we cannot park in public spaces without written consent from the Council.

Why have the hassle of a children’s party at home when you can let the local sort it out?

If you don’t want the trouble of entertaining parents at home while your children enjoy a party on Polly’s Party Bus then the answer is simple, put the bus on a pub car park! There is always loads of room for us to park, and a super environment for you to entertain parents – no mess, no fuss, everybody has a super time! We have lots of local pubs who are always pleased to help by having us on their car park; the list below is just a few of the most popular pubs we use.
